NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 23 – Malkia Strikers pair of Noel Murambi and Violet Makuto lead the KCB squad for the final round of the Kenya Volleyball Federation League to go down on Thursday and Friday in Kapsabet.
Head Coach Japheth Munala returns to steer the log leaders through the league and tournament trophy.
Other players in the team are new signing Ernestine Akimanizanye, Lorine Chebet and Leonida Kasaya who returns after competing in the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Cup.
“The chemistry is right, and we are working with great concentration ahead of the two league matches, we will take our opponents seriously,” Munala said.
Skipper Lincy Jeruto said she is anticipating a tough outing since all the teams are looking to end the league round on a high and enter the playoff with a bang.
“We have prepared well going by the training that we have done hope, we will play well because we have had hard training at the beginning of this week. I hope we will get good results. There are good teams, because they are in the league like us but I am sure we will beat them,” the captain stated.
KCB will play Kenya Army and Bungoma County ahead of the Nandi Governor’s Cup at Kapsabet Show ground.
KCB have 345 points so far and are leading the KVF standings ahead of DCI, defending champions Kenya Prisons and regulars Kenya Pipeline.
