The tactician speaking on Wednesday morning after receiving his award at their Camp Toyoyo training base has saluted his players who he said have given in their best performance, hence making his work easier.
“I would be lying if I said I am not happy. I am pleased to receive this award and I must say it has been because of my players. They have worked very hard and they are a disciplined lot which makes it easier for me as a coach,” the tactician pointed out.
Posta Rangers who remain the only unbeaten team after 11 matches started the month with a 1-1 draw away to Kakamega Homeboyz, but bounced back to win in identical 1-0 score-lines against Western Stima, Mathare United, Kariobangi Sharks and Sony Sugar.
Their last match in April was a 1-1 draw in Nakuru with AFC Leopards.
“They have been very tough matches. Remaining unbeaten in this league is very tough and for us to achieve that, it has come because of so much effort from the players. The only concern for us has been that we have been wining by a slim margin,” Omollo pointed out.
Adding; “But that has been because we have played against very defensive teams as well; it is not to say that we are defensive. There are a few areas we need to improve on and it is such we are working on at the moment.”
Omollo was rewarded with a winner’s plaque and a cash reward of Sh75,000.
