LIVERPOOL, United Kingdom, Dec 5 – Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has insisted that he has no plans to join French outfit Paris Saint-Germain.
There have been reports linking Lallana to the Ligue 1 side, but the England international has played it down.
Despite a slow start to the season, Lallana is enjoying his time at Anfield and made it clear that “the thought of leaving Liverpool has never entered my mind”.
“I love it here at the minute, especially since the manager has come in. We have each other’s trust and you do not always get that at clubs,” he told Sky Sports.
PSG are understood to be making a £50 million bid to acquire the 28-year-old’s services, but while Lallana admitted that he is flattered, he has no intention of plying his trade anywhere else but the Premier League.
“It is a great compliment to be spoken of in the same breath as a club like PSG with those sorts of numbers,” he said. “I am absolutely loving my football at the minute under this boss and I can only see myself being here for the long term.”
Lallana has scored three times and notched up five assists in 12 Premier League appearances this season. Lallana’s contributions have helped Liverpool stay in contention in the Premier League title race as they currently sit in third place on the standings and are just four points adrift of leaders Chelsea.
