LONDON, United Kingdom, Oct 29 – Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admits it is “a really good sign” to see Philippe Coutinho and Nathaniel Clyne linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admits it is “a really good sign” to see Philippe Coutinho and Nathaniel Clyne linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.

The Merseyside outfit’s strong start to the English Premier League campaign has seen them emerge as one of the early contenders for the Premier League title, alongside Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham.

Key to their success has been the form of two first-team players in the shape of Coutinho and Clyne.

Their form has reportedly caught the eye of Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, prompting questions over recent transfer rumours.

While he is happy with the calibre of team being linked with his players, Klopp is adamant they are going nowhere.

When asked about the transfer rumours relating to Coutinho and Clyne, Klopp told the Express: “That’s a really good sign! Only the big clubs, yes?

“A few months ago it was like: ‘He will go to Aston Villa and try to bring them back to the Premier League.’

“What can I say? It’s better that they talk about Real Madrid and Barcelona.

“How many matches have we played? Nine? ****ing hell, nine matches and we talk about all this stuff.

“Do they want to get them in winter or the next window? Do they think they can buy Clyney in winter? Come on. It’s nice but not important.”
