LONDON, United Kingdom, Aug 11 – Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has been warned to be wary of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s temperament if the striker is not given the chance to be the main man at Old Trafford this season.

The Swedish superstar has already made a promising start at United with two goals in pre-season following his move from Paris Saint-Germain.

A former Sweden international teammate, Pontus Kamark, knows the striker well having spent time with Ibrahimovic when he broke into their national side.

He says Red Devils fans can expect either fireworks or success from the 34-year-old depending on how well his temperament is managed by Mourinho.

Kamark told MirrorSport, “He has been in all kinds of arguments. He called even Pep Guardiola (at Barcelona) ‘The Philosopher’ because (Lionel) Messi felt threatened about his superiority and Zlatan doesn’t want to be number two.”

The former Leicester City player added, “If someone comes in his way, he fights them. He can kick you down in training. He does whatever it takes to be on the throne.”

The 47-year-old concluded, “That can be for good and for bad – especially if someone doesn’t accept that. He always finds something because he can never be second best – Zlatan has to be number one.”

The striker, who has scored close to 450 goals in a glittering career, joined United on a deal said to be worth £200,000-a-week.
