LONDON, United Kingdom, July 19- Manchester City have expressed interest in Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin but were told he is not for sale.
Pep Guardiola is a fan of the 21-year-old Spain international but after initial enquiries were made Arsenal underlined that they would not entertain any offers.
City have concerns in the full-back positions with Pablo Zabaleta a target for Inter Milan and Roma while Aleksandar Kolarov has interest from Turkey and Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna are also both in their 30s.
Bellerín’s agent Albert Botines also represents City youth players Erik Sarmiento and Paolo Fernandes.
Barcelona have also enquired about the Spaniard’s availability this summer, but were also told that is not for sale by the Gunners.
Arsenal revealed last summer that he signed a new long-term contract with the club, and it is understood that his entourage will try and negotiate again with the club this summer.
Meanwhile, City have agreed a deal for Argentine goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli and continue to negotiate for Leroy Sane, John Stones and Leonardo Bonucci.
Colombian winger Marlos Moreno is due to join on August 1 from Atletico Nacional for Sh1.1bn but striker Kelechi Iheancho has been left out of the club’s initial tour squad owing to visa issues.
City teenager Tyrese Campbell, a target for West Ham, is also wanted by PSV Eindhoven.
