LONDON, United Kingdom, July 17 – Diafra Sakho has refused to travel with West Ham’s squad to their Austria training camp as he looks to push through his move away from the club.
West Ham will sell the 26-year-old but have been reluctant to let him and Enner Valencia leave without finding a replacement first.
Talks over a Sh3.7bn deal for AC Milan forward Carlos Bacca have become protracted and Sakho is losing patience as he looks to make a fresh start.
Sunderland have had a Sh1.6bn bid rejected owing to the proposed structure of payment but remain keen while West Brom, Crystal Palace, Swansea and Newcastle are also in the frame and the Senegal international has interest from Germany and Italy too.
West Ham face three games in Austria this week against Czech side FC Slovacko, Rubin Kazan and Karlsruher SC as they prepare for their Europa League campaign. However, Sakho wants to focus on his own future and hopes to accelerate his departure.
Swansea City, meanwhile, have made a Sh1.7bn offer for Valencia. The bid is Sh1.3bn plus Sh400mn in add-ons.
Lazio had made an offer of Sh400mn loan fee with view to a permanent deal next summer for the Ecuador international.
