LONDON, April 15 – Arsenal have got an Ajax starlet firmly on their radar, while Chelsea will pay Sh3.6 billion ( £25million) for Roma’s Antonio Rudiger and the Mirror state the obvious over Jose Mourinho.

ARSENAL CHASE AJAX STARLET

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has stepped up his interest in Ajax’s teen sensation Riechedly Bazoer, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 19-year-old midfielder is “among the most sought-after prospects in European football” and the tabloid claims chief scout Steve Rowley has made another check on him.

Barcelona, Chelsea and Tottenham are also in the hunt for the starlet, who has already been capped by Holland.

Wenger “will focus on youngsters this summer but with new senior players also coming in” – so to avoid confusion Arsenal will sign players of all ages in the summer.

Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell, 19, who has broken through into the first team this season is also high on Wenger’s wanted list.

FA CUP WON’T SAVE VAN GAAL

The Daily Mirror reports Manchester United are planning to replace Louis van Gaal with Jose Mourinho even if they win the FA Cup this season.

Shock, horror. Well not really because winning the FA Cup was never going to save the Dutchman so just why it has become a factor remains a mystery.

“United are preparing an exit strategy for him and a succession plan involving Jose Mourinho,” claims the red top. In other words United will axe Van Gaal and appoint Mourinho in the summer.

United missing out on Champions League qualification for the second time in three years would always be the deciding factor in Van Gaal’s future and that is still the case, so with United likely to miss out the Dutchman will not see out the final year of his contract.
