Paris Saint-Germain are targeting a £45million move for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge.
A delegation from the Parisian club are due in London to attend England’s clash with Holland at Wembley on Tuesday.
Sturridge is set to play some part in the prestigious friendly following his recall to the international set-up.
PSG boss Laurent Blanc will be in the market for a new centre forward in the summer with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani set to leave.
And Sturridge is one of the stellar names on PSG’s wanted list. Sportsmail revealed earlier this year that Sturridge is open to leaving Anfield in the summer.
But with three years still on his deal, it will take a hefty sum to lure him away from Merseyside. Much will depend on whether PSG can rid themselves of Cavani and his £215,000-a-week wages.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea will be in the market for a new centre-forward and could move for Cavani, paving the way for Sturridge’s move to Paris.
PSG certainly have the financial firepower to secure a move for Sturridge ahead of the new season.
