LONDON, January 26- Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink is reportedly on the verge of bolstering his attacking options with the signing of striker Alexandre Pato on loan from Brazilian outfit Corinthians.
The former Milan frontman’s proposed move to the defending Premier League champions appears to be on the verge of being confirmed, with France international Loic Remy said to be the player who will make way for the Brazilian.
The 26-year-old has been linked with several clubs in Europe since the turn of the year, although the Blues have seemingly won the race to clinch his services.
Speaking about a potential move to the Premier League last month, Pato said: “One day I knew I would like to come to England because I think the championship is No 1 in the world.
“It is very competitive. I like the emotion in the English league.”
Pato returned to Brazil three years ago following a six-year spell at AC Milan, where he scored 63 goals in 150 appearances for the Italian giants.
He recently returned to Corinthians following a two-year loan spell at Sao Paulo.
