UNITED KINGDOM, January 8 – Kenyan Victor Wanyama is considering his Southampton future but will not push for a move away from the club this month, according to Sky sources.

The 24-year-old, who is currently serving a two-match ban for the red card he received against Norwich, has 18 months left on his contract at St Mary’s.

It is understood Tottenham, who tried to sign the midfielder last summer, Arsenal and Manchester United are monitoring his situation.

Saints boss Ronald Koeman has insisted both Wanyama and Sadio Mane are committed to the club, despite transfer rumours.

Koeman has already said he will banish any player to the stands if he chased a move away from the club.

“The players know their position in the club and what we think of the players, I don’t have doubt about that,” he said.

“If there is any player who thinks if his behaviour is not good that makes it easier for him, then I will put the player in the stands until the end of the contract because that’s not the way you do your job as a footballer.”
