LONDON, October 15- New Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp’s assistant manager, Zeljko Buvac, has joined up with the club after being granted his work permit on Wednesday.

Klopp was confirmed as Brendan Rodgers’ replacement at Anfield last week and took training for the first time on Monday.

Bosnian-born Buvac is one of the German’s most trusted lieutenants along with Peter Krawietz, but was expected to miss Klopp’s first game in charge against Tottenham on Saturday.

However, Buvac arrived on Merseyside on Wednesday morning after his working permit was granted and was involved in training later in the day.

The pair were team-mates in their days at Mainz, before Buvac became Klopp’s number two at both Mainz and Borussia Dortmund.
