Tunisia wants Mauritius ref probed

TUNISIA REF CONFLICT

TUNIS, February 3 – The Tunisian Football Federation has officially complained to Caf through a letter the African football body to investigate Mauritius referee, Seechurn Rajindraparsad.

According to Tunisian media assured that the football body held a meeting on Monday and decided to send a letter to caf asking them to start investigation against the referee and they asked caf to meet their officials to talk about what happened.

Tunisia were eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations at the quarterfinal stage by hosts Equatorial Guinea.

Subsequently the Carthage Eagles have blamed the match referee for awarding the hosts a penalty converted by Javier Balboa that led to their equaliser.

Tunisia are facing punishment from Caf after their players attacked the referee at the end of Saturday’s Afcon quarterfinal loss to Equatorial Guinea.

On Sunday president of the Tunisia Football Federation (FTF), Wadii Al Jarii resigned from his position in the organising committee of Afcon.
