How can anyone take these figures seriously when they are 60 years old and mostly pertain to countries that have
traditional use and are producers of cannabis

1951 – According to United Nations estimates, there are approximately
200 million marijuana users in the world, the major places being India,
Egypt, North Africa, Mexico, and the United States. [Jock Young, _The
    Drug Takers_, p. 11]

Since cannabis use has increased from the 60s onward I imagine there to be a lot more cannabis users than
200 million, a recent report estimated that there are 160 million cannabis users so apparently cannabis use is
going down? though reality and honest reporting suggest otherwise.
