Nyamweya bans alcohol in all stadia

NYAMWEYA-NOCKNAIROBI, Kenya, October 17- Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has banned the sale and consumption of alcohol in stadiums countrywide.

In a statement signed by federation boss, Sam Nyamweya, the decision to proscribe drinking was arrived at a joint Executive Committee meeting between FKF and Kenyan Premier League (KPL).

“As part of their match security arrangements, all host clubs must ensure proper arrangements are made at the entrances to ensure no alcoholic beverages are brought to the stadium.

“Anyone who attempts to do so shall be barred from entering the stadium,” the FKF boss said Friday.

The ban extends to all matches organised or authorised by FKF.
