KIBAKI IS NOT HONEST! IN ALL HIS TWO TERMS IN OFFICE HE HAS NEVER BROUGHT TO KENYA ANY INTERNATIONAL OR WORLD GAMES OR SPORTS. hE IS UNT SPORT BUT PRO GOLDS AND MEDALS!!! SHAME
@Oludavin…. what has bringing international sports games to Kenya got to do with an individual’s honesty ? Hosting games of thsi magnitude is not a priority to most African countries, we still have hunger, health, water and other basics to sort out. So please look at things positively and stop being shallow.
Is it shallow or hollow?
@Odipo25 & Edgems4 STOP being naive and open the horizons of your thinking. The truth is that Kenya is a Sports Country and since All African Games by Moi we havent hosted any international Games/Sports! Hunger health, water my food, all are caused by bad governance and lack of good strategic leadership! Do u belive Kenya is all that a famine country? By bringing some of this Games home, we give opportunity to more youths to participate and compete, plus marketing kenya capabilities and abilities internationally. Kibaki thinks that a country is only runned on economic and infrastructural stability…. I think it’s more than that. Kibaki should promote: Economy, Integrity, Democracy, Education, Agriculture, Health, Sports, etc…..
The infrastructure being built by President Kibaki is crucial and a foundation for future events. Moi built Kasarani stadium as what? A white elephant since no more Kanu meetings!! You are the naive one. At least three smart brains disagree with you so quit justifying your hatred and myopia..running a govt is not showbiz.
This does not depend directly on the president and so he does not have any say to what game will be held in his country. Nonetheless we had so many world meeting leaders meeting in Nairobi as scheduled which was made even befoe Kibaki took office hence Kenya is stable( Not like Libya which has swapt with S. Africa for African games next year. Games depend on infastructures, facilities and game voting body and security of the country.
Patriotism will keep Kenyans together and what these athletes managed to do is to hold the flag up high. We as a nation need to keep ourselves proud of such global performances. In a country full of division from many levels, sports is among the few unifying factors and the President need to take a lead in encouraging such unifying measures. I speak as a foreigner from the continent. Well done to the athletes and the spirit of togetherness. God bless Kenya
You want sports men and women to come to be hijacked, pickpocketed and all those other vices you practise?
@22b7a6ec4ed9b6ada7dc67083bd738f9:disqus stop hating! and btw under Kibaki, World cup cricket was partly held in Kenya!
Congratulations to our ‘mboys’ and ‘ngals’!!
