Khedira in Real quit notice

KHEDIRA-PORTUGALLONDON, June 20- Arsenal and Manchester United have been put on high alert as Real Madrid are reportedly ready to allow Sami Khedira to depart in the off-season.

The Germany international missed a large chunk of the Galacticos’ last campaign through injury, although he made his return in the final stages of the season to eventually help the Spanish giants to a 10th European Cup title to add to their earlier Copa del Rey success.

However, Carlo Ancelotti is believed to have told the 27-year-old that he is free to look for alternative employment, with the Italian tactician reportedly preparing to make space for the proposed arrival of Ramires from Chelsea.

Both Arsenal and United had already been tipped with an interest in the Madrid midfielder, who is currently with his country at the 2014 World Cup, and the latest development could see both Premier League sides prepare respective bids, with around £20million thought to be enough to secure a deal.

Khedira is currently in the final 12 months of his deal at the Santiago Bernabeu, where he first arrived from Stuttgart in 2010.
