NAIROBI, Kenya, March 9 – The CAF Champions league first round return leg between two-time champions Esperance Sportive de Tunis and Gor Mahia was called off following heavy downpour at Stade de Rades in Tunis.
Confirming to Capital Sport Sunday, Gor Secretary General Chris Omondi, said the match has been pushed to Monday 10am, local time.
“The match could not go on as heavens opened minutes before kick-off, forcing the match officials to reschedule the match to tomorrow morning (Monday),” the official stated.
Esperance hold a 3-2 advantage from the first leg played in Nairobi a week ago and K’Ogalo need to score two goals and keep a clean sheet to progress to the second round.
