LONDON, England, March 4- Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger acknowledges that winning the English Premier League after what has transpired in recent weeks will be a massive undertaking.
There had been ominous signs ahead of Arsenal’s fixture against Stoke at the weekend. However, Wenger feels the defeat against Stoke was merely a blip in what has been a good run of form.
“We cannot say it’s easy,” Wenger told Sky.
Wenger and his Arsenal have been accused of failing to consolidate their position at crucial stages in past seasons.
However, Wenger defended himself, suggesting that his team did still have the capacity to execute a series of positive results.
“I would say look at our results at the crucial point in the season and you would be surprised,” added Wenger.
“Somebody says something that is not checked and everyone repeats it and it becomes an opinion, even if the facts don’t show it. Our end of season has always been very strong,” added Wenger.
