Kenya in All Blacks re-match in Hong Kong

OMBACHI-AUSTRALIAHONG KONG, February 21- Kenya will face New Zealand, USA and France in a tough Pool B of the Hong Kong Sevens after the draw conducted Thursday.

The sell-out sixth round of the 2012/13 HSBC World Series event will witness Mike Friday’s charge re-acquaint themselves with the All Blacks they upset in the Main Cup semis of their home Wellington Sevens.

Kenya’s dismal showing at the Las Vegas 7s meant they would not be seeded for the Hong Kong’s tournament hence their placing in a tough group fronted by the losing Main Cup finalists in the USA.

Las Vegas 7s champions South Africa lead Pool A that has Wales, Argentina and Australia with Samoa, Scotland, Portugal and Wellington winners England, who also had a nightmare outing in USA, making up Pool C.

Canada, who stunned Kenya in their opener in USA are seeded in Pool D with Fiji, Spain and hosts Hong Kong completing the line-up for the event that will run on the weekend of March 22 to 24.

The Kenyan team is currently resting ahead of intensive training following their return from USA where they slipped from position two on the leader board to sixth.
