Nani Man U exit to open door for Wanyama

LONDON, England, December 13- An Old Trafford exit for Portuguese winger Luis Nani is set to fund a January transfer swoop by Sir Alex Ferguson that includes Kenyan midfielder, Victor Wanyama according to the clubs official website, ManUnited.com that is quoting various British papers.

Porto’s Colombian winger James Rodriguez and Celtic’s midfield powerhouse Wanyama have moved to the top of the Reds’ wanted list.

Talks over a new contract for Nani, whose current deal ends in 2014, have stalled and both Juventus and Arsenal are thought to be interested in a £20m move.

Manchester United’s chief European scout Martin Ferguson was at Celtic last month to watch Wanyama against Barcelona.
Rodriguez has been dubbed the new Cristiano Ronaldo in Portugal and United could even use Nani as bait to land the youngster in an audacious exchange deal.

United have also joined the race for Arsenal rebel Theo Walcott in a move similar to Robin van Persie’s controversial switch to Old Trafford in August.

Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to land the England winger, whose deal expires at the end of the season according to reports in British press.
