NAIROBI, Kenya, November 29- Coach Mike Friday rolled up his final squad for the Dubai Sevens that kick-off Friday as Kenya charge towards building on their sterling performance in the HSBC World Series opener in Australia.
Friday who led his side to the Main Cup semis at the Adelaide Sevens in October has drafted in four changes to the squad that played in Australia to the Dubai line-up confirmed on Thursday.
Eden K’Ochieng, Michael Wanjala, Cyprian Kuto and David Ambuya who featured in Adelaide are not on the Dubai party.
Returning former captain, Sydney Ashioya, Lavin Asego, Philip Wamae and Patrice Agunda have been brought in with the first pair missing out on Adelaide with injury and personal commitments.
The team will play in new kit at Dubai Sevens that is the second leg of the 2012/2013 HSBC Sevens World Series.
The kit, from apparel manufacturer Samurai was presented to the team on Thursday at its training camp in Dubai.
Kenya Rugby Union vice-chairman Sasha Mutai, the Director of National Squads and Elite Performance Philip Jalang’o and Samurai International’s Director of Sales and Marketing Martin Southern witnessed the hand over.
Friday’s side currently lies fourth overall in the series standings with 15 points and will play in Pool A for the Dubai Sevens alongside series leaders Fiji, perennial campaigners Scotland and newly admitted core side Spain.
