The IBM golf day is set to rock the tea-men of the Limuru Country Club this weekend. According to the Limuru golf captain, Ken Chege, over 200 golfers are expected to participate in the heavily over-subscribed golf day.
“Limuru’s 18-hole golf course, one of the best in the country, is very capable of hosting over 200 golfers, our only request is that golfers arrive in time and tee-off at their allotted times,” Chege noted. “IBM set extremely high standards when they hosted their corporate golf day at the Karen Country Club last year but we will be going all out to host an even better event.” IBM golf days in Kenya have been known, not only for their high quality golf merchandize but also for their entertainment value. According to IBM’s Tony Mwai, the golf day at Limuru will live up to its billing. “At Karen in 2010 we had an invite list of about 130 of our top partners, this time round we will still have our partners but we will also be joined by members of the
Limuru Country Club,” Mwai said. “From what I have seen so far, over 200 golfers are drawn to play, which is a big field and we trust, weather permitting that they will all get to play and complete their rounds.”
