Adam Jones recalled to Welsh squad

CARDIFF, United Kingdom- Veteran Wales prop Adam Jones was recalled to the squad for the final Six Nations match against France after missing the previous matches because of an elbow injury. The 30-year-old 68-times capped Ospreys star replaces Craig Mitchell, who suffered a serious shoulder injury during Saturday’s controversial 19-13 victory over Ireland.

Jones proved his fitness when he turned out for Ospreys a fortnight ago after missing seven weeks because of his elbow injury.

Mitchell will be out of action for 12-16 weeks after undergoing an operation.

Young wing George North has also been recalled to the squad after missing the previous matches through injury for the match in Paris.

Wales have an outside chance of winning the title should they beat France and unbeaten England lose away to Ireland – though there is also an enormous points advantage in England’s favour.
