'Melo' traded to Knicks

NEW YORK, February 22- The Denver Nuggets have traded Carmelo Anthony to the New York Knicks in a blockbuster multi-player deal that involves players, draft picks and cash, the Denver Post reported Monday night.

New York is reportedly ready to give up Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov and three draft picks and $3 million in cash.

In exchange, Denver would send Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman to New York.

Anthony did not attend the Nuggets’ practice Monday, staying behind in Los Angeles after the annual all-star game to tape a segment on the American talk show "Conan".

Nothing is official but Anthony has been the focus of intense trade talks for several weeks and even more so during all-star weekend because Thursday is the NBA’s trading deadline.

Last summer Anthony declined to sign a three-year $65 million contract extension with Denver.
