Sears blasts ICC

NAIROBI, Kenya, February 17- Cricket Kenya chief executive Tom Sears has attacked the International Cricket Council for excluding Kenya and other lower tier cricket nations from the 2015 World Cup.

Sears said in an interview to be published in the March edition of the ‘The Wisden Cricketer Magazine’ said the decision was ‘bloody ridiculous.’

"I’ve no desire to be diplomatic. Not to let anyone else in is scandalous. It’s all about money, power and votes, and that’s not good for cricket," said Sears.

Kenya reached the 2003 World Cup semi finals for the first time in their history, the only non test nation to do so.

Another associate nation, Ireland caused a shock of their own in 2007 when they beat Pakistan.
