Kenya arrive in Sri Lanka


NAIROBI, Kenya, February 10- Kenya arrived in Sri Lanka on Wednesday for their last leg of preparations for the Cricket World Cup that gets underway on February 19.

Eldine Baptiste’s side began training on Thursday morning in readiness for warm up matches against the West Indies and Netherlands on Saturday and Tuesday respectively.

Kenya have for the past week been in Dubai for an International Cricket Council (ICC) high performance camp where they won both warm up games against Afghanistan and Ireland.

Jimmy Kamande and company are in Group A alongside defending champions Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.

Kenya start their World Cup campaign against New Zealand on February 20 in Chennai.
