Hawks douse Heat

MIAMI, January 19 – Josh Smith sank the go-ahead layup with 34 seconds left in overtime, Joe Johnson finished with 19 points and Atlanta defeated Miami 93-89 on Tuesday to send the Heat to their fourth-straight loss.

Johnson had a game-tying layup with 25 seconds left in the fourth quarter and two game-clinching free throws with five seconds left in overtime. Jamal Crawford also scored 19 for Atlanta.

LeBron James finished with 34 points and 10 rebounds for the Heat but missed a long three point shot at the end of regulation. James missed another long shot as the overtime shot clock wound down and with the Heat behind by two.

Dwyane Wade finished with 27 points for the Heat, who got 16 rebounds from Joel Anthony.
