Tergat injured in car crash

NAIROBI, Kenya, December 9- Legendary athlete Paul Tergat was on Thursday involved in an accident at Burnt Forest.Tergat who was heading to Eldoret to receive an honorary doctorate from Moi University collided with a lorry that was carrying building materials.

The legendary athlete sustained head and leg injuries and was treated at Moi teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret.

“Its because of God I was able to come out of the accident without any serious injury. I just want the public to know that I’m okay,” said Tergat who spoke to the press while in Eldoret.

Tergat underwent scans at the hospital and on Thursday evening was being transferred to Nairobi’s Forces Memorial Hospital.
