Mulee calls up Wanga

NAIROBI, Kenya, November 30- Allan Wanga has been called up to the Harambee Stars squad for the CECAFA Tusker Cup in Dar e Salaam.

Stars coach Jacob Mulee sent the SOS to the former Petro Atletico striker to beef up his team’s attack.

Steve Ochola and company crashed to a 3-2 defeat to Malawi on Monday at the National Stadium.

Stars who were down 2-0 midway through the second half pulled two goals back through John Baraza and Fred Ajwang.

Wanga who is currently on trials in Asia was expected to arrive in Dar between Tuesday and Wednesday in time for Kenya’s must win match against Ethiopia on Thursday.

He is expected to replace youngster Abdumalik Mohammed, who would fly back to Nairobi upon Wanga’s arrival.

Meanwhile, tournament organizers have entry in the venue following low spectator turnout throughout the first three days.

The low turnout was triggered by of Taifa Stars’ 1-0 loss to Morocco in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in October and their 1-0 loss to Zambia on the opening day of the regional event.
