Rudisha makes final IAAF short list

Nairobi, November 10 – World 800m record holder and twice African champion, David Rudisha, has made it to the final shortlist for the prestigious 2010 World Athlete of the Year Awards.

Rudisha, who broke the 800m record twice this year joins four other stellar performers in the list released by IAAF Tuesday.

The gala ceremony, where the award will be conferred to the winner, takes place in Monaco in nine days time.

Female athletes shortlisted for the 2010 World Athlete of the Year award where Commonwealth and Africa steeplechase champion, Milcah Chemos, represents Kenyan interest will be announced wednesday.
