NAIROBI, Kenya, April 29 – Kenya will take on Samoa in the last leg of the International Rugby Board (IRB) Sevens series in Edinburgh.
The event which is slated for May 29-30 provides the season’s toughest test for Benjamin Ayimba’s side so far with Argentina and France making up the rest of Pool A.
Samoa are the form side this season after winning three of the last legs and losing main cup finalists in Dubai and Wellington and lead the series with a colossal 124 points.
The south pacific islanders also posses one of the stand out players of the season in Mikaele Pesamino whose electric pace has put of the top of this season’s try scoring charts with 47 tries, 19 more than second placed Collins Injera.
Kenya slipped to seventh place on the log after a chequered outing in the last tour to Adelaide where they reached the bowl final and Hong Kong where the main cup quarters by South Africa..
Humphrey Kayange and company have 52 points, 14 ahead of the Pumas.
In the preceding week south of the Hadrian Wall, Kenya are up against New Zealand, Wales and Portugal in the London Sevens at Twickenham.
