Vidic going nowhere

MANCHESTER, Nov 27 – Serbia captain Nemanja Vidic has dismissed speculation that he wants to leave Manchester United by claiming that he would like to help the transition to a new generation of players at Old Trafford.NEMANJA_VIDICThe centreback’s situation is reportedly being monitored by Barcelona following reports that his wife, Ana, is unhappy in northwestern England, and the attribution to the player of some unflattering comments about the weather and life in general in England.

But Vidic, 28, insists he is happy at the Premier League champions and looking forward to the day when, following the retirement of veterans like Ryan Giggs and Edwin van der Sar, he is one of the senior figures in the dressing room.

"I am glad to have been part of this club for so many years and if I could be one of the bases on which a new team is built I would be very happy," Vidic said.

"I have never said I want to go and play in another country. Other people have spoken or written about it and I am not happy with that.

"But I have said in the past what I think. I don’t want to keep talking about it because I can’t stop what people say. The fact is I am happy here."

Vidic is under contract with United until 2012 but says there is no rush for negotiations on a new, extended deal.

"I will speak about it to the club," he said.

"But I don’t want to push them. I don’t want to push anyone. We will see what happens. I am here and I am happy. I have shown in the games that I want to be part of the team and to play every game 100 percent for this club."

These are the same people that invented the Guillotine. The French have always been barbaric. The French Revolution is a prime example of how unformed these people are and they could turn into animals at any second. Plus, 180 euros is a lot of money to see The Queen? I saw the show on youtube and she put on an incredible show. She danced and snag her heart out for 45 minutes. I saw shows that were 2 hours and I was bored. Madonna did in 45 minuted what no other entertainer can do. It’s quality not quantity.
