Where dance meets music: Elani’s Milele track put into actions

elani

For years now music and dance have always intertwined, with dance being an expressive form of music, displaying what words may not be able to say and simply putting it in action form. When the combination between music and dance is done right, it is always nothing short of magical.

Doing my daily rounds in the internet, I was searching for great Kenyan dancers who go out of the norm and do things differently, diversifying their dancing style across the board and not going down with the usual ‘dancehall’ and ragga dances that are quite popular in town.

As if the universe was on my side, I came across this amazing group of dancers who not only define art and passion to me, but  are on the road to breaking the boundaries of the Kenyan dance scene. One of their dance pieces is to the popular Elani track ‘Milele’ and I cannot put to words how creative and beautiful the routine is, you just have to watch it for yourself and be the judge;

  1. It allows East Africans to travel and do business anywhere. Only rich people and people with Extreme IT skills can do business in far flung regions of Africa.

  2. We all know we need a railway, we all know the benefits or a railway… but must it be obtained with a corruption burden that hurts the paying mwananchi?

    1. You are the crook. A standard gauge diesel rail gauge should not cost more that what Ethiopia is paying for electric train over rugged terrain and longer distance to Djibouti. It is inflated by over 100Billion. We shall pay for 30 years.
      before you flap your mouth read the facts. People are stashing billions abroad more than goldenberg and anglo-leasing. It is not about the standard gauge thing.

  3. The naysayers are perennial critics who are not interested in anything positive, they are interested in seeing people in using a train that take 2 days to reach mombasa from Nairobi or use the murderous roads. The critics have been bribed and are using helicopters, that is why they are wondering why would the poor use a train that will be taking 4 hours instead of flying like themselves.

  4. FACT: We need a railway
    FACT: we all know that
    FACT: the procurement was fraudulent
    FACT: the government is lying to us
    Why shouldn’t we have waited six months and done a proper tender (even if we limit it to Chinese companies??)

  5. Someone wants to give us what we need at 3 times the price. He sends you to lecture us on how good it is. You miss the point completely you dumb naysayer.
