Jared Followill who is one quarter of american rock band The Kings Of Leon, recently found out that skimpy wear and debauchery are not the only things that can get you in trouble in UAE.
Followill had a terrifying brush with airport security guards in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) last week when he was stopped in Dubai for carrying an electronic cigarette.
The Supersoaker bassist, who touched down Dubai alongside his bandmates last Wednesday, was reportedly confronted by a security team at the airport over his electronic cigarette, which is banned in the country.
The star took to Twitter.com to tell fans about the incident, writing, “Just had the life scared out of me at security in Dubai. Apparently it’s not just my bros (brothers) who think e-cigs (sic) are uncool. Almost locked up abroad.”
Now The Kings Of Leon will be going on tour next year to support there recent offering Mechanical Bull.
Mechanical Bull was released earlier in September and has managed to top album charts in Ireland, The United Kingdom & Australia.
