Temper Trap lead guitarist Lorenzo Sillitto has announced plans to leave the band and pursue other ventures.
Sillitto who joined the Australian group eight years ago, said in a statement on the band’s website and we quote: “I leave the band with a heavy heart but it was time for me to try new things.
Now the band also showed support on their website stating that “Loz has been a great friend and a valued and important member of The Temper Trap since he joined in 2006.
“His creativity and commitment to the band over the years has been first class and we wish him all the best with the exciting events that are about to come into his life… while we’re sad to lose a guitarist, we are not losing a friend.”
Sillitto worked with The Temper Trap for their 2009 album Conditions and their 2012 self-titled record.
The bands are currently working on their new album, which is scheduled for release in early 2014.
