Rihanna will reportedly release her eighth studio album ‘Anti’ on November 27, meaning she will go head-to-head with her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
The ‘FourFiveSeconds’ hitmaker has not yet confirmed the release, but several insiders have revealed she plans to put the album out to compete with her ex-boyfriend’s new record ‘Royalty’, released on the same day.
An insider told The Sun newspaper:”Everyone expects it to be out next Friday. Strategically it’s clever as it means she avoids a chart clash with Adele and Coldplay.
“She’ll have no problem competing with Chris.”
The 27-year-old singer also shared a link on her Twitter and Instagram accounts on Thursday (19.11.15) to a new website, ANTIdiaRy.com, which has a teaser video of the album showing a sequence of shots of the star with a distorted audio file.
The star has teamed up with Samsung to release the new record in a £25 million deal for the website, which sends mobile phone users to a cryptic message, which reads: “You’ll know when it’s time.”
And Rihanna also tweeted how overjoyed she is to share details of her album.
She wrote: “Excited to share this with you!! #ANTIdiaRy (sic)”
More information on ‘Anti’ is expected to be announced during Sunday’s (22.11.15) American Music Awards.
