Shem Otanga, a Kenyan gospel artist who describes himself as an urban minister has released a brand new song titled, “Dead and Gone.”
The video shot by Johnson Kyalo of Top Notch films features the artist alone in the entire video.
One can tell that the song is Inspired by true life events from the lyrics and the book of Galatians 2:20 which reads,
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
The rapper had this to say on his YouTube channel after launching the song,
“After a 3-year hiatus from music, the Lord has led me back to active hip-hop ministry and I do have a lot to get off my chest. This is a celebration of the power of God‘s forgiveness and the beauty of His grace by which even the vilest sinner can get a clean slate and start over…The old me is Dead and Gone…Glory to God!”
Some of his music includes King’s Mic, Tazama, Wape Habari, Wernono Anthem among other songs.
He is a renowned city lawyer who specializes in Intellectual Property law.
