Michael Kors signs eyewear deal with Luxottica Group

Michael Kors has entered into a 10-year eyewear license agreement with the Luxottica Group in order to enhance their performance in the optical and sunglassese marketplace.

The US fashion designer’s eponymous label has entered into an exclusive 10-year license agreement with the world’s largest eyewear company, with their first collection launching in January 2015.

Andrea Guerra, Chief Executive Officer of the Luxottica Group, commented: “We are very excited and proud to be entering this new partnership with Michael Kors, one of the most powerful American luxury lifestyle brands in the world.

“Michael Kors has a major influence in fashion, with products that are exciting to luxury audiences globally. We are confident that this partnership will have great success.”

Luxottica will produce eyewear for the Michael Kors Collection and MICHAEL Michael Kors eyewear, and both lines will be available at stores and online around the world.

Michael Kors is best known for its luxury accessories and the deal will allow the brand to continue expanding its eyewear abroad.
