Meat Loaf performed his last ever UK concert earlier this past weekend.
The ‘Bat Out of Hell’ star is retiring from touring after 35 years of making fans go wild, the singer performed in front of a crowd of 17,500 as the finale to his Ladies’ Day concert in Berkshire
ML announced his retirement from music earlier on in April and explained that he didn’t want to travel anymore.
The musician – real name Marvin Lee Aday – cancelled a European tour in 2007 after being diagnosed with a cyst on his vocal chords. At a 2011 concert in Pittsburgh he collapsed on stage after an asthma attack before completing the performance.
Stephen Higgins, Meat Loaf’s managing director, praised Meat Loaf’s final UK performance, saying: “Over 17,500 people enjoyed a splendid performance from the legend that is Meat Loaf, and his electric performance was the perfect end to what was a brilliant Ladies’ Day.”
Meat Loaf is a baseball fan and a supporter of the New York Yankees, he is also an avid fantasy baseball player and ever so often participates in multiple leagues every season of 2008.
