Guernsey’s government has come under fire after a message on its Twitter account mistakenly congratulated Duchess Catherine and Prince Charles on their newborn baby, instead of the Catherine and Prince William.
Guernsey’s government has come under fire after mistakenly congratulating “Duchess Catherine and Prince Charles” on their newborn baby.
The government’s Twitter account accidentally referred to Prince William as his father Charles in a congratulatory tweet after Catherine gave birth to the couple’s first child, the Prince of Cambridge, on Monday (22.07.13).
The message read: “Congratulations to the Duchess of Cambridge and the Prince of Wales on the birth of their baby boy.”
While the error was noticed and amended quite quickly, scores of people spotted it and retweeted it to their friends which has resulted in it going viral.
