“@Pink I’m ready with my Bomb. Time to blow up #RodLaverArena. B***h” is the tweet that got a teenager arrested during a P!nk concert in Melbourne, Australia. The unnamed 16 year old was recognized by staff at the Rod Laver Arena during the Sunday night concert because of his profile picture, and they held him until police arrived.
Meanwhile, the suspected bomber’s sister spoke of the incident, saying the bomb in his tweet was a reference to P!nk’s song ‘Timebomb’. She told The Herald Sun, “He didn’t mean it like that. He wrote it as in one of her songs is called ‘Timebomb’ and he forgot to put the ‘Time’ on there… It wasn’t a prank or anything like that. He told us he was referring to lyrics in a song,”. The interview was published on Monday, July 8th.
The boy’s family is upset about the incident, insisting the stadium staff treated him badly, manhandling him before the police arrived. The boy now faces criminal charges, including being a public nuisance.
P!nk is currently on her latest world tour, The Truth About Love Tour to support her first number one album, The Truth About Love. The tour will break records in Australia, being the most attended concert in Melbourne, which she had set herself in 2009’s Funhouse Tour, selling 200,000 tickets only in Melbourne
