Ozzy Osbourne’s band notched up a new record when their latest album 13 climbed all the way to the top of the UK charts. The last time they had a number one album was in 1970 with Paranoid, making this the longest time between number one hits (43 years)
The band, regarded as the pioneer of heavy metal and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006, has experienced numerous changes in their line up over the years. However, the original lineup reunited to make this album, their nineteenth. Only original drummer Bill Ward refused to participate in the reunion, due to a “contractual dispute”.
The album has received positive reviews from critics, and has currently two released singles. Check out the video to ‘God is Dead?’
