Ashley Roberts is coveting Lupita Nyong’o’s style

Singer Ashley Roberts thinks breakout star Lupita Nyong’o is “gorgeous” and has been impressed with her bold red carpet choices.

The former Pussycat Dolls singer has been girl crushing on the Oscar-winning ’12 Years a Slave’ actress’ standout looks on the red carpet since she burst onto the scene earlier this year.

Speaking at the launch of KEY Fashion’s Spring Summer 2014 collection yesterday, Ashley exclusively told BANG Showbiz: “Lupita’s just gorgeous! She has an inner glow about her as well, she shines bright from the inside. She’s not afraid to wear fun, bright colours, like that really beautiful blue she wore at the Oscars. That’s what’s cool about KEY Fashion too. There’s a lot of beautiful, flowing dresses in the new collection.”

Ashley has been impressed by British fashion since moving over to the UK full-time after falling in love with London living.

Listing her new style icons, she enthused: “Kate Moss, obviously, she’s fabulous. Rita Ora can go real out there with her fashion, but then there’s some stuff that she does that just love, I think it’s so cool and funky. And Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, I’m a little obsessed with her.”

The 32-year-old star fronts KEY Fashion’s new collection of pastel prom and party dresses as well as full-length gowns perfect for every occasion, and says the best thing about the new range is its universal appeal.

Ashley explained: “I think there’s just a little bit of everything in the collection – occasions, prom, bridesmaids dresses, date night dresses, going on a holiday. There’s a little bit of something in there for every girl, every shape, every size.”

The blonde bombshell will also be incorporating some of catwalk’s key spring trends into her wardrobe in the warmer months.

She said: “I definitely think I’ll be adding in pastel colours, and bold prints are happening right now. Adding in the acid blue wash of the jean that’s ripped, I feel that would be really fun.”

The KEY Collection is available from from March 25, 2014, with prices starting from £80.00.
