First came the Grammys, then the Oscar, and now an MBE. Adele became a member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire last week. The honor was bestowed by Queen Elizabeth II in her annual Birthday Honors.
She was awarded for her services in music.
It’s been quite a year for the 25 year old, who recently became a mother and shortly after scooped up an Academy award for the song Skyfall. Also on The honors list was singer PJ Harvey, actor Rowan Atkinson, and sculptor Anish Kapoor. The entire list had 1,180 recipients. Congratulations Adele!
