NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 1 \u2013 Another teacher has succumbed to injuries after a bus ploughed into a crowd at City Primary School last during the Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers branch elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba, the teacher passed away while receiving treatment in hospital, bringing the death toll to two teachers and one learner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He urged drivers and other road users to exercise due care and adhere to traffic rules and protocols for the safety of everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe have received heart-breaking news of two accidents that claimed the lives of two teachers and a learner earlier today. In Nairobi City County, a public service vehicle rammed into teachers who were participating in union elections at the City Primary School in the Ngara Area,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSadly, one teacher died on the spot while another passed on while in hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He stated that up to twenty-six teachers are undergoing treatment for injuries suffered in the accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOn my behalf and that of the Ministry of Education, I extend my deepest condolences to the families, friends and relatives of the deceased. We pray that God grants them strength and fortitude during this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
