{"id":746648,"date":"2024-04-26T14:28:15","date_gmt":"2024-04-26T11:28:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.capitalfm.co.ke\/news\/?p=746648"},"modified":"2024-04-26T14:37:07","modified_gmt":"2024-04-26T11:37:07","slug":"we-comply-with-the-data-protection-laws-ntsa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.capitalfm.co.ke\/news\/2024\/04\/we-comply-with-the-data-protection-laws-ntsa\/","title":{"rendered":"We comply with Data Protection Laws &#8211; NTSA"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 26 &#8211; The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has affirmed its compliance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement on X, the authority refuted claims of leaking sensitive personal information of vehicle owners on online public searches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The motor vehicle copy of records does not reveal the Email address, ID number and phone number of the registered owner (s),&#8221; the statement read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The authority further stated that the only personal information provided on motor vehicle copy of records included the registered owner&#8217;s name, KRA PIN Number and Charges .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional information on the records include all the particulars of the vehicle\/motor cycle including Chassis number, model, engine number, entry number, fuel type, logbook number, registration date and caveat status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A public copy of record is accessible online immediately after paying a fee of           Sh 500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Facts on motor vehicle copy of records.<br><br>1.
