Kahangara was arrested earlier on Friday afternoon after the confrontation with the police officer at the Globe Cinema interchange\/CFM<\/p><\/div>NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 6 – Lari MP Joseph Mburu Kahangara has been charged for allegedly assaulting a traffic police officer in Nairobi.<\/p>\n

The legislator denied the charge and was remanded in custody until Tuesday to enable the CID conclude investigations on the matter.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kahangara was arrested earlier on Friday afternoon after the confrontation with the police officer at the Globe Cinema interchange.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred when the legislator reportedly declined to obey traffic regulations and instead engaged the officer in a confrontation.<\/p>\n
