We have been pushing for Children Bill which currently lies in the office of the Attorney General,\u201d Barasa said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRecently when we were celebrating 30 years of the convention on the rights of the children the President asked the AG to fast-track the passing of the Bill and that is what we want.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maryanna\u00a0Munyendo Executive Director of Missing Child Kenya, a\u00a0community led portal working in the child protection sector, called on parents and the community at large to respect children and not use them as a weapon against each other especially during domestic violence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSadly, human weakness in terms of fighting as parents we use children as a weapon, and I will put it right here that it is wrong for any parent to use a child in any way as a weapon against the other. Children have a right for parental love and your differences should not deny them that,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n<p>Child Protection and Advocacy Manager Eunice Kilunda from Child Fund Kenya stated one of the major forms of violence against children is child neglect.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the main issues that is prevalent across our country with regards to children is neglect.
