Annual National Prayer Breakfast postponed to June 7 – Wetangu’la

NAIROBI, Kenya May 30 – The 2023 annual National Prayer Breakfast that was due to take place on May 31 has been postponed to June 7.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangu’la who oversees the planning of the event notified all the invited guests including Members of Parliament on Tuesday of the postponement.

“Any inconveniences caused by the change of date is highly regretted,” he said.

Speaker Wetangu’la had previously revealed that more than 2, 500 guests would attend the prayer meeting that is to take place at the Safari Park Hotel.

This year’s prayers which are on their 20th edition are themed ‘Reconciliation with God and with Man’.

President William Ruto his deputy Rigathi Gachagua and a host of other top government officials are among the guests who will grace the event.

The prayers will take place during a time of heavy political discourse in the country, with key issues such as the high cost of living at the center.
